Authentic Pressure Cooker, inox, SEB

The design of these pressure cookers are great but this is the third one I have bought and for the majority of times that I have used it this one in particular has not come under pressure

I have another one after nine months use twice a week no longer works and I had a sad one that ceased to work after 15 months for something with a 10 year guarantee, this is not acceptable

I am half Spanish and I’ve lived in France. Pressure cooking is central to my way of life. This is my third purchase of this exact design by SEB. Each cooker I had lasted about 10-15 years. I was not aware the rubber gasket needs to be changed as often as it should. Apparently the rubber gasket needs to be changed every 12 months, whether the cooker is in frequent use or not! Removing the old gasket is REALLY easy and buying a new gasket in the UK is very easy too.

I used the cooker mainly to cook bone broths and lentil soups with chorizo. I also use it at Christmas to steam 9 types of vegetables for our big feast.

Not happy at all

I remember when I was young, we had next to my mom house a factory of SEB I used to enjoy to see them making them is the top of the range

I grew up watching my grandmother using one of these in the 1960s. I loved the drama that it brought to teatime, as well as the delicious food that it produced. Now, as a dad who dons the pinny, I have to tell you, a ragù done in one of these things for 20 minutes, has all the depth of flavour of one simmered on the hob all afternoon. Another great thing, having bought so much stuff over the years that wears out and breaks, is that SEB are committed to maintaining the supply of spares and accessories. So refreshing in these days.

This pressure cooker is truly authentic. Its high quality performance is outstanding - the way it works is super extraordinary without exaggeration. Why? Simply because it has got excellent reputation for doing exactly what it suppose to do as been prescribed, above all , all my family and relative use it for years and we grow up with it using it to cook our food with satisfying result 10 out of 10 .
