        Do not buy this - it's not solid oak!

        This chest of drawers is advertised as "Solid Oak," but that’s simply not true. It’s made entirely of cheap MDF with an extremely thin oak veneer that looks and feels like plastic. I know this because the unit I received had a damaged corner, exposing the MDF underneath. There is no solid oak anywhere in the construction, at all.

        For the price, I expected genuine solid oak, as advertised. If I were looking for MDF furniture, I would have gone to IKEA and significantly less. This is a clear case of misleading marketing and poor value for money.

The drawers are made from solid oak and the frame from oak veneered MDF for dimensional stability. If the frame were made from solid wood there would be a risk that it would warp over time.
