Side table
5Side tables are invading our homes, much to our delight. They've been on the increase for some time now. And with good reason: versatile and space-saving, they provide a host of services and are useful in any room. One day they can be used to place a green plant, the next to display a lamp, candles or a vase. They can be transformed and travel through our space according to our desires. Designers are well aware of this, and are now showing unbridled creativity for this small piece of furniture, once considered a mere accessory. It's now a decorative object in its own right, and at the same time, a practical piece of furniture that makes our daily lives easier. Think about it, this piece of furniture can be useful and is certainly missing in one of your rooms.
In two or three sets
If we say coffee table, you think it's irrelevant. Think again: with sets of two or three pedestal tables, you increase the number of possible uses. In a small apartment with a cramped living room, these sets work wonders as coffee tables. If you can't do otherwise, stack them completely to create a mini-table. If need be, for an aperitif, for example, you can arrange your set to take advantage of the dimensions of a small coffee table. Why not separate them for occasional use as side tables? These assortments are available in metal and look great in an industrial or bohemian setting. For a more contemporary look, opt for versions with glass or marble tops, or even more design-oriented, all-glass versions that play on transparency and purity. Rectangular, square, round or triangular, there's something to suit every taste. The choice is yours.
Nomadic, the home is her playground
A traveler at heart, she's at home anywhere. At the end of the sofa, where you can quietly place your glass, your book or your remote control, it offers that little extra space that adds to your comfort. For this use, opt for compact models in wood or black metal, with a base that can slide under the sofa. As a saddle for your vase, it can take up residence in the bedroom, living room, dining room or even the bathroom for a green plant. In the nursery, funny models with animal-shaped feet will delight your little ones. And don't forget the miniature storage space they can offer on the tray or underneath with a magazine rack, for example. Useful close to the bed, its aesthetic and practical aspects will be all the rage in this context. You'll appreciate it just as much in the dining room, where it can be used as a sideboard for meals. In short, everyone needs an occasional table. Try one out for size. Then repeat the experiment as you see fit.
