Ask yourself the question of comfort: do you prefer sheets that are soft and silky to the touch, or is the main criterion that the fabric is hypoallergenic?
If your answer to the first question is "yes", look for a fitted sheet in a lightweight material like cotton: cotton silk, cotton percale, cotton voile or cotton gauze. Although the weaving techniques are not all the same, and each brings its own particular know-how and advantages, investing in a cotton bed linen set will ensure you a soft, comfortable night's sleep.
If you're more interested in the hypoallergenic properties of the fabric, choose a fitted sheet in washed linen. Linen is highly breathable, retaining moisture and allowing you to sleep in a relaxed atmosphere, without fear of sweating in summer or catching a cold in winter. Its properties make it the perfect fabric for sensitive people.

If you prefer to keep to neutral tones to maintain an elegant feel in your bedroom, plain fabrics or simple patterns such as fine stripes or pretty little flowers are very wise choices. Light colors such as white, pastel blue or pale pink look great in a bedroom, giving it a boudoir feel.
