      The Gogain range is the result of crackled enamelled stoneware production.
      This enamelling technique, developed in Asia in the 16th century, is entirely handmade in China. To achieve this crackled finish, the ceramic pieces are immersed in water directly from the oven. This significant thermal shock leads to the appearance of cracks and the metallic effect of the colour.
      The colour, the cracks and the final shape of each piece depends on the temperature, the length of time in the oven, the thickness of the enamel and the mode of application.

      This finish is entirely handcrafted, each piece is unique and will bring a unique touch to your table..

        They're fine but one of the plates spins

        Look ok, a bit heavy and they're not flat so they rock or spin.

        A treat of a dish

        I bought a set of four and have decided to up the count and buy another set, since the design and colour is so soft on the eye. They have been a special present to myself on the occasion of my downsizing to a smaller property. Just the kind of treat we all deserve.
