Alpaca is soft but it sheds fibres! This is why we recommend washing it by hand and drying flat.
If you see little bobbles appearing for the first time, then it has pilled. You can use a soft-bristled clothes brush and delicately brush the jumper in the direction of the nap, or you can cut off the bobbles with nail scissors or shave them off with a razor.
To prevent shedding, you can put the garment in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer for 2 hours or leave in the fridge overnight. The cold freezes the wool fibres and will help prevent shedding.

    Warm and cosy.

    Over cardigan when I received it. However, as with another cardigan purchased at the same time, it became matted and shrunk when washed according to the instructions. It also shed wool excessively.

    Super uncomfortable do not buy

    Beautiful soft alpaca

    Lovely cardigan with big, bold buttons and beautiful soft feel. The long fibres do shed a bit but that is only to be expected for alpaca. It is very cosy and ideal for winter wear. Bought in the sale so very good value.
