Double Knit Sweatshirt - POLO RALPH LAUREN

My wife bought this to replace a similar item I've had for years,although not exactly the same as the other one I'm hoping it lasts as long,for the price it really should!!

Packaging f lt very special with a lovely embossed box and lovely tissue wrapping inside,overall a very special feeling owning this lovely gift.

I bought the navy sweatshirt and it's very good fit for my body. The neck opening is good size and the sleeve opening is also good. After the first wash in 30 degrees water and air drying, the sweatshirt has shrank a bit. The sleeve opening has gotten smaller and the length of the cuffs got shorter by about 0.5 inches or so, and it's quite noticeable. I have another pair in Alpine Heather colour, and that one didn't shrink much after washing - there's a noticeable size difference with the cuffs.

The stitching for this isn't that great with the way it's done. I can't see any issues with the stitching itself but there's a dark grey fluff on the stitching itself, by the left arm area of torso. If it's bright outside, you can notice the difference because it's not navy, it's dark grey, and it forms a straight line. I think the colour from the inside has been pushed outside when the stitching was done. I didn't think it was much of an issue before I decided to keep it, and you can notice it on a bright day.

Fabric itself isn't soft, it's a tiny bit coarse.
