Monagum toe post sandals in leather, tan, LES TROPEZIENNES PAR M.BELARBI

Firstly, the leather straps are very hard and sharp and consist of two leather layers. I think had they been cut with more of a bevelled edge they would have been fine, but on first wear, I thought my feet were going to be cut to ribbons. To counteract this, I have had to get a diamond nail file and gently rub the leather from underneath and in doing so, the straps became much softer and more malleable. Thankfully, I didn't damage them and now they don't hurt at all. Another reviewer said that the straps become softer over time, so I am looking forward to this! I have taken off a star because of this issue.

Secondly, I bought both the gold as well as this tan and gold pair. The gold pair have a hard sole, but these are much softer having a slightly cushioned leather sole. (This seems to be getting rarer with manufacturers who skimp on this by using synthetics, but the leather sole allows your foot to breathe and prevents blisters.)

I am usually an EU size 40 and a UK size 7. I bought the EU41 Size 7 as stated and this fitted me fine.

Overall, with the hard strap issue now solved I am very happy with these sandals and will get a lot of wear out of them, as they will go with many of my summer clothes.
