Duet Blowdry 2-in-1 Hair Dryer Brush, black, GHD

I was very surprised with this product as my hair is thick and curly .. what can I say just WOW leaves my hair manageable and without using straighter all the time .

Only downfall you need a glove on as the heat penetrates through to you hand x

A lovely, well packaged gift set which comes with a black bag and brush. It heats up quickly and is pretty quiet. The shine shot function for when you have finished drying is a great additional feature to smooth out any strays! I used it on my hair, which is naturally poker straight. I would say it’s not really worth it if your hair is the same as mine - didn’t add anything extra or feel any quicker than just blasting with a hairdryer! But, I also used it on my daughter’s hair - mixed race and natural coils. I have to say, it was incredible on her hair type - transforming from tight coils to uber straight!

Absolutely amazing product feels like how the hairdressers make your hair feel. So easy to use no messing with trying to hold a hairdryer and brush to dry your hair. Makes your hair feel so soft and full of body.

I am very pleased with this product. I have been drying my hair with a hair dryer followed by straightening with ghd irons for 20+ years. I wanted a tool which saved my time and damage. This product does that perfectly! Worth every pound paid!

I have been using a GHD Duet Style 2-in-1 hot air styler for about a month. I am very impressed with the end results and have found that it is a very useful hair styling tool, with good features. I love the paddle brush and the heat-resistant bag which opens out to become a heat-resistant mat, they are simply perfect and are high quality items in themselves.

Using the hot air styler I have found it works best for me if my hair is first towel-dried. I then section out my hair with clips and then use the hot air styler to dry and straighten my hair. It looks as good as if I had been in a salon and it lasts for days. I am pleased that the hot air styler is reasonably quiet when it is simultaneously drying and straightening my hair. When using it as a duet tool, the hot iron plates do not get as hot as my GHD hair straighteners and the hot air part of this styler is not as hot as the GHD hair dryer I would normally use. However, I think it is quicker for me to use this duet styler than to first bow dry and then straighten my hair. I have quite fine hair which is quite frizzy and flyaway. After my hair is dry, I have used the ‘shine shot’ feature by pressing down the shine-shot button for a few seconds. As the hot air is not being used it is working alone as a hair-straightener. When used like this the iron plates get hotter. I have only used this feature on the top layer of my hair, just to make it a bit shinier, I don’t feel like I need to use this throughout my already straightened hair and I don’t use this feature every time. I think this duet styler is going to save space and be less weighty for travel, but looking at the voltage printed on the duet style I believe it will only work with a 220–240-volt power supply. I will have to make sure I only use it in countries where it won’t come to any harm, as I really don’t want to live without it now that I have got used to using it. For me it has become a game changer.

I have coarse, thick hair (naturally curly) that becomes quite puffy after blow drying, so I rely on a styler that can smooth and control that volume without causing damage or snagging.

STYLING AND USE

The styler looks good and well made, not too heavy. The wide plates allow me to work with larger sections, which helps reduce styling time, especially with thicker hair. What I appreciate most is that the plates glide through my hair smoothly with no snagging or pulling, even in areas where my texture is more dense or prone to tangling. I don’t have to go over the same section multiple times, which is something I really value for maintaining healthy hair.

FINISH

After styling, my hair looks sleek, more sealed, and much less puffy. I can see a clear improvement in shine, and the finishing result feels smoother from root to end. My hair remains bouncy rather than flat, which I like because it still has movement while looking polished.

Even with the wide plates, I’ve been able to create soft waves as well as a smooth straight finish. The edges of the plates make it easier to turn slightly at the ends, so I can add shape rather than having a very blunt look. It also heats up quickly.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this styler for anyone with thick, coarse, or naturally voluminous hair who wants a tool that can straighten efficiently while leaving the hair looking smooth, glossy, and healthy, with the option to create waves too.

If I’d known I wouldn’t have purchased, it’s too big and you can’t get to your roots easily so I ended up using my hair dryer anyway.

I've used this a few times now. Was previously using a rotating brush but it was making my hair fuzzy and damaged. Used the blow dry brush for 2 weeks now- I seem to have less hair falling out and no frizz. My hair is short bob length and it doesn't need straitened after. Only down side is it's a little heavy. But it's manageable.
