ghd Glide + MAX straightening brush, black, GHD

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago mainly for my daughter as she has very long curly hair and she struggles with the straightener's. This brush is great but make sure you work from under your hair not over your hair it is a lot more effective this way and have patience, you have to let you hair sit for a moment or two before gliding down your hair and it’s not great with knots, actually brush your hair first.

I have thick wavy hair and this is great, makes doing my hair super quick although I still do a quick finish off with the straighteners.

I’ve had a couple of these but this is far better than the other ones I’ve bought.So easy to use and hair is so straight with no frizz

I recently received my new GHD Glide+ Max Hot Brush and upon opening the box was very impressed with how it looked. It had a very nice look and feel to it with what I can best describe as a Matt black style finish.

It is relatively heavy in weight compared to other paddle style brushes, but it is not too heavy that using the brush becomes a struggle.

As with most GHD heat products, the usual safety features come as standard. Maximum heat limit at around 185 degrees, designed to prevent extreme heat damage and a 60 minute automatic shut down (just incase you accidentally leave it on).

When using the brush, I did notice that handling the brush itself (not the bristle areas) was less evident of the heat than some other products I have used previously,

Using the brush was a joy. It effortlessly glides through hair leaving it nice and silky smooth feeling and really ironing out the waves and kinks and curls. It really does perform as well as you would expect from a GHD product and I am absolutely thrilled with this product. This is now my go to product in the mornings.

Such a time saver when doing my hair in the morning. I have naturally thick wavyish hair that can take forever to style. I usually throw my head upside down to dry it and am then left with a little too much volume in all the wrong places. I’ve never used a heated brush tool before so was a little unsure how it was going to go but I was pleasantly surprised. Initially taking quite small sections of hair, the brush glided through effortlessly taming the frizz as it went. I then took even bigger actions and it worked just as well on those too. Took a little while for me to figure out how to get to the roots but was able to get a lot closer than I thought I would. Loved how easy the brush was able to get through my hair, even the shorter layers were tamed into place. I used the ghd glove to apply counter pressure on the brush head when I needed. The heat is very well contained in the back of the brush so not needed there. I was also impressed with how long my hair stayed straight and frizz free. Am able to style and it last a couple of days with only a little touch up needed here and there. The heat of the brush even helps brush out and straighten previously heat styled curls. The only down side I’ve found so far is that the bristles are a little hard to clean but such a minor thing it won’t stop me using the brush everyday.

I have to say that I am absolutely loving my new GHD Glide+ Max Hot Brush. Delivery was prompt, and as always, well presented in a sturdy, strong box with protective packaging.

For my shoulder-length, thickish, unruly hair this hot brush works so well. It has a large paddle brush which grips and smoothly slides through the hair, leaving it so smooth. The more I use this, the better the results I am getting, especially with what I call 'bed hair' so the days I do not wash, I just run this brush through my hair to get the straight look that I like. The only downside I can think of is that I have a fairly short fringe, and I do not quite get the result with this brush purely because there is not enough hair to put in.

If you have unruly hair, I do highly recommend this hot brush, and this certainly has become a well-used item.

This has been an absolute pleasure to use, it has saved so much time in the morning. One stroke and my hair is smooth and holds for a long time cannot fault this product so far and look forward to using it each morning.

I’ve had the GHD glide + max for 3 weeks now and I absolutely love them! I have a shoulder length bob which is quite frizzy & I use straighteners every day. This brush heats up so quickly & then glides through my hair leaving it soft & shiny in a matter of minutes! Saves me so much time as I no longer have to part it into sections. The brush is easy to hold & the cord is a good length. I travel quite a lot & this brush is easily packed into hand luggage, no need to take the straighteners. I couldn’t recommend them enough!
