        French style

        I have fallen into this before. I ordered my duvet cover only to see it is 'ENVELOPE STYLE' which look decidedly odd on a UK duvet. This needs highlighting.

        Old Fashioned styling, poor colour matching

        I bought a duvet cover, fitted sheet and pillow cases all in "Linen" and, while the fitted sheet and pillow cases match, the duvet cover is a different colour and does not match. It also is an old-fashioned duvet cover with a "tail" designed to be tucked in between the mattress & box spring. It was described as envelope style, which I assumed was a standard style closing with buttons or grippers, In the photo, it does not appear to be tucked in and I did not want it to be tucked in. I had to re-finish the edges to remove the tail. I used the excess fabric to make ties to close it with but what a pain-in-the-bum. I wish I had opened it straight away but I did not and I missed the window to return it. The other duvet cover I bought was not La Redoute branded and was the more usual button closure style. The quality if OK aside from the poor colour consistency across the range, but I won't buy La Redoute branded duvet covers again as I don't want a tucked-in duvet. Disappointing.

        A little surprised

        I hadn't noticed that there was an extra bit to the duvet cover apparently to tuck under the mattress. I think the images/description could have been clearer. The quality is quite nice though.

        Duvet cover

        Soft to touch bedding, love the flap rather than buttons - by tucking this under the mattress it stops the duvet moving around in the night. Great value in the sale.

        I love the yellow colour to this duvet cover, and it feels good and comfortable, not sure what polycotton is but it feels like cotton.
