Maternity wear, stay feminine!

Are you pregnant? Congratulations! You still have nine months to take care of yourself. As a mother-to-be, your body is going to change, you're going to take shape and you're going to wear it well! During pregnancy, weight gain should be as regular as possible: around 1 kg per month, as recommended by doctors. In the first trimester, you'll continue to wear the clothes in your usual wardrobe. Think practical and comfortable. A word of advice: go for the essentials with a few new must-have pieces, and opt for quality basics that will stay with you even after pregnancy. During this period, there's no question of forgetting your femininity!
When it's time to choose your first maternity clothes, take your usual size. All models are designed to follow the evolution of your body. If your weight gain is complicated, i.e. more than 1 kg per month, remember that an extra size is preferred for every 5 kg over and above normal weight gain.

To help you find your way around, here is a non-exhaustive list of comfort essentials:
  • - Pregnancy dresses
  • - Pregnancy jeans, leggings and pants
  • - The maternity coat
  • - Pregnancy lingerie
  • - Pregnancy swimwear
  • - Pregnancy pyjamas

What size maternity jeans should I choose?

They are evolutionary and extensible thanks to an adjustable waist system (as for children). Most come with elastic belly bands. For your comfort and support, choose a very supple band that goes up high. The most important thing is to feel comfortable! With regular weight gain, you'll have to wait until the 3rd month to wear it. Don't worry if you feel the need to wear them before then: maternity jeans adapt to changes in your body from the 1st to the 9th month. Once you've given birth, they'll still be very useful as you get back into shape. Whether flared, straight, slim, washed, printed or colored, fashion has adapted to maternity. The choice is yours!

How to choose a maternity dress?

There are three good reasons to wear a dress during pregnancy. First: dresses are flexible, easy to put on, leave your legs free and won't hug your round belly. Second: dresses slim your figure. The third: dresses definitely make you look more feminine and enhance your lovely rounded belly. When choosing your dress, make sure you're comfortable in your hips, shoulders and bust. All dresses are perfectly adapted to the increased volume of the tummy. Choosing the right dress size also means paying attention to the model's cut, cup size and material. If the model is close-fitting at the bust, look at the shape of your shoulders and breasts.

And make sure you've got the basics, adapted to your new life as a pregnant woman: tunic, shirt, blouse, nursing bra, tee shirt, overalls...
