New Ashland Leather Belt, black, LEVI'S

I purchased this belt as a replacement Levi belt that was a few years old and was showing signs of wear.

I am always unsure as to what I am going to get buying online but with this belt I need not have worried, as it is better than I expected.

Upon opening, the product felt ‘solid’ and smelt of lovely new leather. The buckle is awesome - a good size, but not too big - with the brand ‘Levi’ writing across it. The belt is a good width, too, perfect for my 501’s with the larger belt loops.

Be aware when ordering to pay attention to belt sizing, as this can be confusing and I wasn’t too sure, in fact, when the item arrived I initially thought it was too small, but having worn it a few times the sizing is about right. The product feels sturdy and of good quality. I would but it again if I had to.

I brought this a week ago and as soon as it come and I opened it and held it in my hands it felt very cheap and thin it is not what I expected from levis for the price. I've had alot of belts from levis and this is the first one as soon as I touched it though wow this feels super cheap and not sturdy. It creeks when wearing it and feels like it's going to snap. If this is how the belts are going to be now I will be buying other brands.

Some kind of plastic coating started chipping after few months.

Bought this as a present for my partner, smallest size fit perfectly and looked good was very happy. Until, what seems to be a cheap plastic coating on the belt started to peel off. Why use nice leather and then use a poor quality coating that falls apart after a small amount of usage? Would not recommend.
