        Always a winner

        23rd birthday present for our daughter who has always loved Dr Marten boots & the sale price was excellent 👌🏼 She chose the faux fur-lined variety as she felt they would be easier to break in.

        Mixed feelings about this

        This is noticeably narrower than the classic 1460. Not sure if I received a faulty pair, one of the tongues feels wonky and slanting to one side. Or maybe it was due to the way it had been folding in the box.

        The fur lining is good and makes it easy to slide in and out of despite being narrower than the classic 1460. The fur lining also seems to be shedding a bit.

        I like that the sole feels more solid and substantial compared to the classic.

        But overall I find it a bit too narrow for me, and I am disturbed by the wonky tongue and slightly wonky profile, bulging at the ankles, which could be due to my feet shape.

        As for the infamous breaking-in period, it didn't feel uncomfortable at all, other than the tightness of the width (I do have wide feet). I don't think it needs breaking in.
