Helm Washed Hemp Fitted Sheet - AM.PM

I bought a matching fitted sheet and pillowcases in the Californian Blue colour. The colour is to my eyes a little paler than is represented on the site, though I recognise this might have to do with screen-settings. The product description says the sheet is "for mattress height 25cm", which I wished I'd double/triple checked prior to purchase—we have a Tempur 21cm mattress, and it's much too big despite the heaviness of the memory-foam mattress weighing it down. You may not think 4cm is much of a difference, but you'll end up, as you see in the attached image, with a lot of excess creasing fabric (this after one night's sleep)!

Following one wash on a regular cold cycle, 800 RPM, eco-detergent, I also noticed some irregularity in the fabric of the pillowcase (also pictured), which may be a slub in the weave that was there from the start or could be some deterioration resulting from friction in the wash — I'm not sure. All this said, the hemp fabric is very cooling. Having slept on the fitted sheet and put the pillowcases through a wash, they're mine to keep, so I think I'll try to put a tighter elastic on the sheet. In summation: check your mattress depth. Even with a topper, these sheets are too big for a 21cm mattress. And as to post-wash quality, if there's a pattern in these reviews I'd be conscious of that too.

Beautiful sheet , quality linen . My only criticism is it’s bit big and goes bagy after I’ve slept in it . I’ve got the kingsize . I should have returned it in hindsight and tried the double as maybe they also come up large so might have been better fit . But it is a European company so perhaps they also come sizes aren’t quite uk fit . But absolutely adore sleeping on it in this hot weather.

I bought this recently and it was delivered within the week, which is a pleasant suprise for La Redoute. The sheet is so soft and a wonderful feeling to sleep on!

Lovely silky fabric. Dries much faster than cotton when hung outside on the line. Bought it at a discounted price, otherwise it would be too pricey for me.
