Onega Washed Linen Blackout Curtain with Eyelets - LA REDOUTE INTERIEURS
This blackout curtain blocks out light and keeps your home private. Perfect for a bedroom without shutters.
Some colours block light better than others, which is why choosing the colour of your curtain is important..
To guarantee an excellent level of blackout, we recommend that you opt for dark curtains, which are particularly effective at blocking out light and allowing you to create a dark room.
The eyelets guarantee nice regular waves and ensure the fabric falls beautifully. They slide perfectly on the rod, making it easy to open and close the curtain.

Care Advice
• Machine washable at 30°C
• Maximum shrinkage after washing : 7 to 10% approx. Fabrics made from natural fibres may shrink in the first wash. Always wash your curtains before making any alterations.
• Do not tumble dry
• If you don't need to iron them (linen curtains, Voile Panel...), let the curtains air dry by hanging them immediately after washing, making sure to spread them out to their full width.
• If you want to iron your curtains, we recommend using a low-temperature steam iron or a steamer.

05/07/2026Blackout,,? Really?
Really like these curtains but no way can they be "blackout" - especially in a west of Scotland summer when its light till after 11pm.

17/12/2025Lovely linen curtains
Very happy with these washed linen Onega curtains. I knew they would be creased as linen always is, but to be honest they just looked too creased so I had to iron them. But it was a fairly easy process so wasn’t too bothered.
The eyelet curtains look less formal and more modern so decided to go with this look with my new wooden curtain poles. They slide easily along the poles.
The length is just right as they just touch the floor but the width on one of my windows which is very wide wasn’t quite wide enough to close, which didn’t really bother me as I have slatted blinds and it was more to give a cosier look than anything else. They fitted the smaller left hand window well. But bear this in mind if you do have a very wide window or double door, you may have to order two more curtains as they aren’t that wide at their widest.
I like the neutral colour as I have almond covered sofas and bright cushions.
Happy with purchase, they look expensive and block the light well, although this wasn’t a requirement as not in a bedroom.

15/08/2025Beautiful linen curtains
Beautiful fabric and colour (Sienna) - just what I was looking for, dark burnt orange linen with lining. Have layered these with a thinner cream linen inner set of curtains.
Only negative is that they are not truly blackout.

05/02/2025Not blackout at all
The fabric that is supposed to make the curtain blackout is not thick enough and the curtain is too seethrough…
I had to return it. I hope I get a refund quickly!

22/10/2024Not the best
I ordered these hoping that they would be exactly what I was looking for - which was great quality black out curtains. Unfortunately the black out lining does not match the length of the linen material - meaning there is a gap in where the light shines through between the end of the shorter black out material and the linen.

18/05/2024Not Blackout
These curtains are beautiful but they are not blackout. They are well made in a really lovely material and lined but unfortunately still let a lot of light in. I wouldn’t recommend these for the bedroom if you are a light sleeper.

20/01/2024A fantastic looking black out curtain
A beautiful curtain, lovely material, great hang and the blackout lining let’s no light through. Mine hang over a blind.
I can only imagine people complaining they are not blackout is because of light passing though the sides.

Redoute - Home – Curtains & Sheers
Dimensions: Width × Height
WIDTH
Measure the width of your window: the curtain rod should extend approximately 20 cm (8 inches) beyond each side of the window. Then calculate the required curtain width according to the desired fullness or pleated effect:
- Curtains: 1.5 to 2 times the length of the curtain rod.
- Sheers: 2 to 2.5 times the length of the curtain rod.
HEIGHT
The curtain rod should be installed at least 5 cm (2 inches) above the window.
For a clean finish, leave a 1 cm (½ inch) gap between the bottom of the curtain and the floor. For a puddled look, add an extra 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches).
Finally, keep in mind that some fabrics may shrink after washing. When in doubt, always leave extra fabric in the hem so it can be adjusted later if needed.
