    Poor and cheap cotton

    The material is not even 200 thread, which would be very basic but will ensure certain quality.

    Lovely washed cotton pillow cases.

    I bought these pillow cases to match a duvet cover I had previously purchased from la redoute edout.

    The colour is a lovely soft denim blue which go's with lots of items in my bedroom.

    My only criticism is that they do come up a little bigger than my other standard pillow cases. Maybe French bedding is slightly larger. Still love them though.

    Looks good. Chalk is a natural beige, not white.

    Haven't used or washed this pillowcase yet but not too worried as I've used other LaR pillowcases before. Felt it was good value for the lovely natural materials, but I'm disappointed that no proper guidance was given re: the 'Chalk' colour I picked. I'm sure most people would think Chalk is white, like you would use to write on a blackboard. But in this case it's a sort of natural beige so if your colour scheme is cool tones or monochrome, avoid the Chalk colour! Doesn't seem worth returning it and trying to reorder white.
