        A beautiful touch of French style

        My second purchase of sheer curtains for my conservatory. The first have lasted years and many washes and are still good, but I saw these and fell for the little stylish touches. They are not as sheer as I thought, a heavy sheer, but great for keeping the heat out. Have washed prior to altering the length and they’ve washed well. Very pleased, would recommend them

        Exotic, Mediterranean Feel

        Very good quality voile that looks as good, possibly better than the pictures on the website. Gives the room that dreamy, exotic, Mediterranean feel that I was going for. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.

      WIDTH

      Measure the width of your window: the curtain rod should extend approximately 20 cm (8 inches) beyond each side of the window. Then calculate the required curtain width according to the desired fullness or pleated effect:

      • Curtains: 1.5 to 2 times the length of the curtain rod.
      • Sheers: 2 to 2.5 times the length of the curtain rod.

      HEIGHT

      The curtain rod should be installed at least 5 cm (2 inches) above the window.

      For a clean finish, leave a 1 cm (½ inch) gap between the bottom of the curtain and the floor. For a puddled look, add an extra 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches).

      Finally, keep in mind that some fabrics may shrink after washing. When in doubt, always leave extra fabric in the hem so it can be adjusted later if needed.
