        Beautiful quality curtains

        Love the soft luxury velvet. I have the mink and it is a rich natural colour. The quality is so good. Lined and with a beautiful linen edging. Got them in the sale - couldn’t afford full price. More colours needed as these are popular!

        Lovely velvet and linen curtains!

        I ordered one of these curtains for my front door and it instantly made a difference to the warmth in my kitchen, I then ordered a second one! I hung them with a heavier duty tension Rod and they look great!

        Perfect for my front door

        I've been on the hunt for affordable, long and stylish velvet lined curtains for my very old draughty wooden front door for over a year. So when I came across these and in the perfect colourway (Green and clay) I immediately ordered 2. However because they were in the sale I only managed to get 1 before they all sold out. I am still one short and hoping La Redoute will restock these so I can order another one. They really are gorgeous and if they are re-stocked then I highly recommend these. They even come with antique gold hooks. Please La Redoute - restock these and in some more colourways as I would love to order some more.

      Redoute - Home – Curtains & Sheers

      Dimensions: Width × Height

      WIDTH

      Measure the width of your window: the curtain rod should extend approximately 20 cm (8 inches) beyond each side of the window. Then calculate the required curtain width according to the desired fullness or pleated effect:

      • Curtains: 1.5 to 2 times the length of the curtain rod.
      • Sheers: 2 to 2.5 times the length of the curtain rod.

      HEIGHT

      The curtain rod should be installed at least 5 cm (2 inches) above the window.

      For a clean finish, leave a 1 cm (½ inch) gap between the bottom of the curtain and the floor. For a puddled look, add an extra 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches).

      Finally, keep in mind that some fabrics may shrink after washing. When in doubt, always leave extra fabric in the hem so it can be adjusted later if needed.
