      In lightly embossed washed cotton using the seersucker technique, the Cottage bed linen set plays on the contrasts between gingham checks and fine stripes. It evokes a timeless art of living, a blend of authentic charm and understated elegance.



      An internal design by Isabelle Olejniczak :
      “By creating Cottage, I wanted to evoke the warm and rustic world of the English countryside. The embossed appearance of seersucker, gingham on one side and striped on the other, gives it an arstisanal spirit. It is highlighted with a tone-on-tone feature on the double ruffle. "

      The washed cotton has been delicately bleached during its manufacture. Soft, supple and comfortable, it softens over time. Its slightly wrinkled appearance is incredibly on-trend, and it does not require ironing.

        Fittingly textural

        Having received the duvet cover and pillowcases which I matched with Absinthe coloured muslin sheets I washed them all in a good hot wash to get rid of all dressing and folding lines. I even hung them out to dry in the sunshine! The seersucker is quite rusticly wrinkled, definitely ironed in the advertising pictures, but actually very nice. Great sizing for the duvet cover (double), the pillowcases aren't quite so great but our pillows are more UK standard size and EU rectangular pillows are slightly different, so I expected the fit too be slightly off. Really nice colour when on and the quality of the cotton is great. I've always been really happy with La Redoute bedding. It is quite expensive but worth it. I'm a fussy soul when it comes to my bedding, La Redoute has just fed that fussiness. When on sale it is a bit more affordable, but I just can't afford it otherwise.

        Gigantic!

        While the quality appears to be good, the sizing is way off. We’ve got a superking and have c.20cm of excess fabric. 1-3cm is fair enough but this is way too much. Never again.

Upon checking, we see that you ordered the 260x240cm size for the duvet cover. If this cover matches the size of your duvet, please send us photos showing the 20cm overhang via your customer account (photos showing the dimensions of your duvet + photos with your duvet laid flat on the duvet cover). Our checks do not indicate any excess fabric. The 20cm you mention suggests that the 240x220cm size would be more suitable for your duvet. Have a lovely day and see you soon at La Redoute!
