       •  During transport, the velvet may have been marked by the packaging. Use an iron set at a low temperature on a wet cloth or use a wrinkle remover to give the fibre some lift.
       •  Use a velvet brush regularly to remove dust and prevent it from becoming embedded in the fabric.
       •  To limit the appearance of pilling, avoid placing a plaid directly on the sofa, as this could accelerate wear and tear of the fabric.
       •  To avoid premature sagging of the cushions, remember to turn and tap the seat and backrest regularly.
