      Bocha textured velvet eyelet curtain - LA REDOUTE INTERIEURS

      Made from a textured velvet with a moiré effect, the Bocha curtain adds an elegant mock plain look to windows in a living room, bedroom or lounge.
      Warm and elegant, velvet is a soft, silky fabric with a tactile appearance.

      The eyelets ensure lovely, even pleats and give the fabric a beautiful drape. They slide perfectly on the rod, making it easy to open and close the curtain.

      Care Advice
       •  Machine washable at 30°C.
       •  Maximum shrinkage after washing : 3% approx. Fabrics made from natural fibres may shrink in the first wash. Always wash your curtains before making any alterations.
       •  Do not tumble dry.
       •  Although there’s no need to iron them (linen curtains, voile panel etc.) hang your curtains up to dry immediately after washing them, making sure to spread them out fully across their entire width.
       •  If you wish to iron your curtains, we recommend using an iron set to a low temperature or a steamer.

      WIDTH

      Measure the width of your window: the curtain rod should extend approximately 20 cm (8 inches) beyond each side of the window. Then calculate the required curtain width according to the desired fullness or pleated effect:

      • Curtains: 1.5 to 2 times the length of the curtain rod.
      • Sheers: 2 to 2.5 times the length of the curtain rod.

      HEIGHT

      The curtain rod should be installed at least 5 cm (2 inches) above the window.

      For a clean finish, leave a 1 cm (½ inch) gap between the bottom of the curtain and the floor. For a puddled look, add an extra 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches).

      Finally, keep in mind that some fabrics may shrink after washing. When in doubt, always leave extra fabric in the hem so it can be adjusted later if needed.
