Miva steel sideboard, black, LA REDOUTE INTERIEURS

The all-metal construction with black painted finish presents a functional, industrial look. Overall, it's well-designed and well-made. A few niggles: (i) the door hinges are a bit flimsy, but shouldn't be a problem unless doors are opened several times every day, (ii) door closure magnets are 'shiny' zinc plated and are very visible against the black construction, even when doors are closed, (iii) because of the design of the internal shelf brackets, the two shelves cannot be placed at the same height - not a particular issue unless you seek absolute symmetry!
